RETIREMENT NOTICE

We are pleased and proud to announce that the remainder of the entire North Fork herd has now been sold to Dave and Carmel Baird of River Lane Ranch in Alberta, Canada. Dave and Carmel have been friends and customers of North Fork for years, so it is only fitting that they take on the ownership of our herd and help carry on the legacy we started. We couldn’t be more pleased for them and look forward to having a number of our beloved horses involved in their Healing with Horses program.

This marks the end of an era for Cheryl and I as North Fork Gypsy Cobs. We started this venture importing our first 6 horses in February of 2008. As circumstances changed throughout the years and we went to a herd management model, we realized that our inability to be with the horses on a daily basis changed our involvement and connection with them, and that horse life had became more business than pleasure. This direction in the end did not reflect our true love for these very special horses, and late last year Dave and Carmel graciously offered to help find homes for our beloved herd members on an individual basis, while taking care of them as their own. The sale of the remainder of the herd to River Lane is a natural progression in this journey.

Cheryl and I have enjoyed our time with these amazing horses over the past 12 years as well as the wonderful people we have met and relationships we have built because of them. We’d like to express our deepest gratitude to our customers, friends, fellow breeders and owners for feeding into our lives and sharing our love of the Gypsy Cob breed. We wish God’s richest blessings to you all and will always be here to visit with when Gypsy Horses are the topic of conversation.
